About me
Myself, under the Username ShiminUfesoj is a Filipino and Bicolano Wikimedian fascinated by translating an English article to his beloved language with is Central Bicol.
I has been involved with the Wikimedia movement since 2018. As a contributor to Bikol Wikipedia. I also affiliated with the Philippine Wikimedia Community user group. He participated the user group in the following local conferences:

My work
As a dedicated member of the Philippine Wikimedia Community, I actively participate in various projects focused on Advocacy, Diversity, Education, GLAM, and Outreach, promoting knowledge sharing and accessibility. Since 2018, I have contributed to Wikipedia, enhancing my writing and editing skills while engaging in events like Wiki Loves Earth Philippines, "Feminism and Folklore," and "Wiki GLAM." My involvement in "Wiki GAP" and Wikipedia Asian Month has allowed me to promote Asian culture and history, ensuring diverse voices are represented. These experiences have deepened my appreciation for collaboration within the Wikimedia community and strengthened my commitment to advocating for marginalized perspectives.
Currently, my primary focus is on developing Wikipedia Bicol, which aims to enrich the online encyclopedia with content in the Bicol language, preserving the culture and heritage of the Bicol region in the Philippines. This project allows local knowledge to be documented and shared by Bicolano speakers. In addition, I am invested in Wikitataramon, an initiative that facilitates collaboration among Bicolano speakers and writers to create and enhance articles reflecting Bicolano culture and history. This empowers individuals and fosters community among contributors. By promoting the Bicol language, I aim to bridge traditional knowledge with modern technology, ensuring its relevance in the digital age. This project is about identity, pride, and preserving a way of life. Each contribution is vital for building a repository of knowledge that honors Bicolano identity, creating a vibrant online space for their voices and stories.
